What is freelancing and how does it work?

What is Freelancing?

Freelancing is a term used for persons who are self- employed. This means that you don’t need to work under any company and boss. Freelancing not only strengthen you economically but also provides you freedom. There are various benefits of freelancing which we shall discuss later in this post.

     


    How is freelancing profitable?

    Freelancing is profitable as it provides a direct interface between client and the worker. Another benefit of freelancing is that – It does not let any third party to interfere in between , which can save the commission given to the third-party resulting in saving money of the client. It also gives us freedom, to work at any time which is far better than a 9-to-5 job . It provides an opportunity to unemployed people and students to dip their hands in their desired industry. Freelancing can also help people engaged in jobs by aiding them financially

    •          Skill

    Who can do freelancing?

    A quick answer to this question is –

    Every person with a skill can do freelancing

    Skill has became a important key factor in every field nowadays.

    All students ,workers, unemployed people and senior citizens can do it. Which means no matter how old are you ,employed or unemployed and where do you work .

    As we discussed earlier you need to learn a skill for starting any sort of freelancing work .I have researched a lot and then I found some skills that will help you earn a huge amount of money.

    •       Blogging
    •       Freelance Graphic designer (Graphic designing)
    •       Logo designing
    •       Web development
    •       Software development
    •       Article writing
    •       Programming
     

    How much can we earn from freelancing?
     

    According to 2019 study, the median freelance income is $20-28 per hour. Apart from it it mainly depend on the sort of work you are doing .Which means that Freelancing income is not fixed and you may get a huge amount of pay in web development after doing a lot of  hard-work in designing graphics.

    Which can be an effective roadmap to start freelancing?

    •          Create a account on all the networks listed below (May not be required in some                cases)  
    •          Create your profile.
    •          Reflect your skills in your profile.
    •          Write a good description that can attract clients.
    •          Search for jobs that are related to your skills
    •          Ensure that you are capable to do that job

    •         Start doing work and submit it before deadline.

    Fiverr is an Israeli online marketplace for freelance services. The  company was set up with the concept of a marketplace that would provide a two sided platform for people to buy and sell a variety of digital services typically offered by freelance contractors.







    People per hour is an online community of freelancers that helps companies outsource specific projects to remote workers when needed.

    Freelancer was founded in 2009 , A company that offers freelance marketplace website, which allows potential employers to pots jobs that freelancers can then bid to compete.

    Upwork connects businesses of all sizes to freelancers , independent professionals and agencies for all their hiring needs . It’s a great platform for individual businesses.

    Guru is a freelance platform where independent professionals collabrote with employers all over the world . It is an easy to use service .

     

    What are the problems with freelancing?

     

     

    “Nothing is perfect in this world” This quote even applies to freelacing . Freelancing has benefits which we discussed earlier in this post but on the other hand It  has some bugs too –

    1.      Work-load

    Most of the times a single individual deals with his jobs but some times there may be a huge amount of work which is not easy to handle. It may give you tension and panic .

    2.      Less support

    It may not provide you the support which is provided by a company. The clients may not co-operate with you .

    3.      Income is not fixed

    Freelancing pays you after completion of your task , but what if you don’t get any tasks . It’s a major problem with freelancing which takes it far below than a permanent job.

     

    To sum up freelancing is a growing carrier nowadays and it’s opening ways to earn money even for students and over-aged people .Freelancing rewards our skills apart from other factors.
